Family Tree

Having always been pedantic about first, second and third cousins - once, twice and thrice removed; and being able to rattle off everyone's birthday at the drop of a hat (until all the nephews and nieces came along), this is a brand new, and ongoing project for me, my mum and my mother and father in law.

What started it? My daughter Aimee came home with a school project, Discover and Write about Your Family Tree. Well, after jotting down a few names and dates, I had to contact my mother, Val, to clear a few dates up with her.

I was fortunate that she had some old birth certificates and stuff hidden away, from when she started tracing her ancestors back in 1999, whilst on a trip to England.

Well, that got us both interested enough to start again. And with the help of Mark's parents, Bob and Retha, (and Bob's Family Bible), we have been able to trace quite a bit of both sides of the family.

Of course, we're all eager to see if there's something you may be able to add to this growing root-system! If you think you may be related, or even may have known anyone mentioned here - please don't hesitate to contact us. You will find email addresses for some of us on the Contact Page.

Because this section of Kaysea's Place is ever expanding, you will find some easy to see-at-a-glance pages, of the names contained in the site, and how to access them.

Eventually I hope to be able to present Chronological Views for each of the families, beginning with the oldest ancestors and working my way down to my children. But for now, I have only a couple of basic menu's.

Even though Aimee's project spurned me to start tracing our family histories, I decided on using Bobbie as the immediate link because he is the youngest of our children, not the youngest of his generation, but he is our youngest, so where better to start?
