On her death certificate it is stated that Alice was 66 years old when she died, but according to other sources, she was 70 when she died?

She died at 126 Smithdown Road, but her husband George Hudosn Hounslea was living at 9 Bowood Street when she died. Possibily the Smithdown address was a nursing home?

George was recorded as Widower and a retired Dock Worker

• Alt. Death: Detail confusion. Somewhere along the line there is a discrepancy as to Alice's real age. The dates don't match up on her death certificate, as it states her as being 66 years old. From records held with the census - she was supposedly born in 1873 or 1874, however on her wedding day she was only 18. The dates don't match, though either could be correct, as back then keeping records weren't a top priority. Unfortunately.

Alice married Mr George Hudson HOUNSLEA, son of Mr Thomas Hudson HOUNSLEA and Miss Sarah Jane PARR, on 24 Dec 1893. (Mr George Hudson HOUNSLEA was born on 11 May 1872 in 6 Court Clive Street, Toxteth Park, Merseyside, England and died on 15 Nov 1948 in 42 Belmont Road.) The cause of his death was congestive Heart Failure & Senile Myocarditis.
